Team Texas Families,

With the new USA Climbing Youth Series season kicking off, Region 51 has released a schedule of Qualifying Events (QEs)!  Whether your climber is competing in U11, U13, U15, U17, U19, or U20, we are gearing up for an exciting stretch of competition across Texas and Louisiana.

To make travel as seamless and stress-free as possible, fellow Team Texas parent Dee and I are actively securing team hotel room blocks for all out-of-town qualifying events on the fall schedule.

Why Book Through the Team Blocks?

• Proximity to Host Gyms: We are prioritizing hotels within a short drive of the host facilities to avoid early-morning traffic stress before athlete check-in and technical meetings.
• Complimentary Breakfast: Every hotel selected will offer on-site breakfast so our athletes can fuel up easily before morning isolation. 
• Team Camaraderie: Staying together provides a great support system for athletes and parents alike, especially for new families navigating their first travel competitions. 
• Discounted Group Rates & Flexible Cancellations: Blocks are negotiated at group rates.

• Other Booking Links Incoming: As soon as Dee and I finalize agreements with host hotels, we will distribute direct booking links and cut-off deadlines. Please book early once links drop, as unused rooms in the block are released 2–3 weeks before each event.
• Official USA Climbing Updates: Ensure your athlete’s USA Climbing Competitor Membership has been renewed before registrations open.  That was a problem for some trying to register for QE's last year.
