Team Texas and Movement Gyms Plano to Host Community Celebration Honoring USA Climbing Youth National Team Athletes
PLANO, Texas — July 9, 2026 — Team Texas and Movement Plano invite the North Texas climbing community to come together in support of the next generation of elite American climbers at the USA National Team Youth Celebration, a special event recognizing youth athletes who have earned spots on the USA Climbing National & Development Teams and will represent the United States at the upcoming Youth World Championships in Arco, Italy July 18-25, 2026.
The celebration will take place on Thursday, July 9, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Movement Gyms in Plano, bringing together athletes, families, coaches, fans, and members of the broader climbing community for an evening of inspiration, connection, and national pride.
The event will feature two interactive experiences:
- 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. – Community members will have the opportunity to climb alongside Youth National & Development Team athletes and participate in skills stations designed to showcase climbing techniques and training fundamentals. (Free for members & those who purchase a guest pass)
- 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – A press conference and athlete recognition program will provide attendees with the opportunity to hear directly from National Team and National Development Team members before enjoying photographs, autographs, and personal interactions with the athletes. (Free for everyone)

“This event is about more than athletic achievement,” said Team Texas organizers. “It’s an opportunity for our community to rally around these athletes, celebrate their accomplishments, and send them to the World Championships knowing they have the full support of the North Texas community behind them.”
The event is open to the entire Dallas-Fort Worth community. Attendees are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue and help create an unforgettable send-off for the athletes as they prepare to compete against the world’s best youth climbers in Arco, Italy.
